The Creek Course is the second eighteen at Carolina Trace, which opened for play in 1979. The Creek Course features drastic elevation changes, rolling terrain, and a meandering creek interspersed among the 18 holes. PLEASE NOTE: Course will be closed June 4 through August 31. Greens are being converted to Bermuda.
The Lake Course is one of two 18 hole courses at Carolina Trace. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the creativity of design is apparent in the Lake Course and remains visible on every hole. Carrollwood Country Club has 27 championship holes that were remodeled in 2004 by famous architect Dan Maples. Heatherhurst Crag is located at the same site as its sister course, the Brae, but is quite different in that it is a mountain course in every sense of the word. The course requires precise shots from tee to green with large drop-offs, winding creeks, and plenty of holes that will leave you second-guessing your club choice. The Crag is shorter than the Brae, with Bluegrass fairways and bent grass greens. The par threes are significantly shorter than the Brae, but still offer a significant challenge to any player. Heatherhurst Crag, with its strategically placed bunkers, challenges golfers to make well-placed shots in order to score well. Golf Digest honored the Crag with a four-star rating.

The Toqua Championship Course and Clubhouse, opened in 1987, renovated in 2008, features four tees ranging from 6,910 yards to 5,230 yards. This par 72 course nestles up to Tellico Lake, which has holes 3, 14 and 15 on the lake. Toqua is highly regarded as one of the best courses in the Knoxville area. The course features a great design - no two holes are alike, giving the golfer the opportunity to use every club in the bag. Toqua has many holes with elevation changes, offering challenging approach shots that require golfers to be accurate with their irons. Although there are not a lot of forced carries over water hazards, the elevation changes and undulation of the fairways will provide a challenge to all levels of golfers. This new course is well bunkered, has narrow fairways, and large greens. This Shelbyville golf course has five elevated greens, and water hazards (lakes) come into play on four holes. The signature hole is #2, a 470-yard, par 4, featuring an uphill fairway and a flat green. However, the four water hazards guarding the left side of this hole not only make it one of the most difficult holes on the course, but also one of the most scenic.
